MENTOR, Ohio — A woman here got a birthday surprise from students whose school bus travels down her street, WKYC reports.

Every day, Doris walks to the end of her driveway to blow kisses to the students, who call her “Grandma,” on the school bus that passes her house, according to the news source. For her 88th birthday, a bus full of students sang “happy birthday” to her.

Doris’ neighbor, Kathy Shrewsbury-Latino, had told the bus driver that it was Doris’ birthday. On her Facebook page, Shrewsbury-Latino wrote that Doris hasn’t missed greeting the students in this way in over five years. She also captured Doris’ surprise on video and shared it on Facebook.

This is my neighbor, Doris. She walks to the end of her driveway everyday to blow kisses to the kids of bus #46 who call her grandma. She hasn't missed a single day in over five years!! I told bus driver, Stacy, that it was her 88th birthday so she had children sing to her. She cries everyday when she sees them. They make her so happy!
