PHOENIX — Officials are investigating multiple calls made on Monday regarding a motorcyclist driving recklessly on the highway close to a school bus with students aboard, ABC 15 reports.

Amy Copeland, a parent who was riding with her child on the way back from a field trip, told the news source that the motorcyclist, who was just inches away from the bus, was acting like he was shooting the students, dancing on his bike and not paying attention to the road. She added that it seemed at first like the motorcyclist was showing off for the students, but his actions turned dangerous when he drove between the school bus and an 18-wheeler. Copeland also took video of the incident.

Tim Case, a trooper with the Arizona Department of Public Safety, which is investigating the incident, told ABC 15 that it is best not to engage drivers behaving that way, to put space between your vehicle and the driver, and get a license plate number, if possible.

Copeland also told the news source that the bus driver did a good job of staying focused on the road and keeping the students’ focus inside the bus.
