BATAVIA, Ill. — The American School Bus Council (ASBC) has selected Cari Long as its new manager.

Long brings pupil transportation industry experience to the ASBC position, having served most recently as marketing manager for IC Bus. In that role with the school bus OEM, she had responsibilities for product launches, industry and trade association relations — including participation in ASBC — and training.

With ASBC, Long will coordinate and manage projects, including Love the Bus, and will help ASBC advocate to parents and policymakers the value of school bus transportation as an integral component of public education throughout the U.S.

“Cari’s previous work and collaboration will allow her to hit the ground running,” said Keith Henry, president of the National Association for Pupil Transportation. “Cari is one of us, and she bleeds yellow.”

Long assumed the ASBC assignment on Monday. With her appointment to the position, the organization’s contact information is now as follows:
