SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — Transfinder has launched a program in which it proposes to buy out any school district’s contract with a competing routing software provider, the company announced on Thursday.

This is reportedly the first time that Transfinder has made such an offer in its 28-year history.

Antonio Civitella, president and CEO of Transfinder, said that the company will cover the remainder of a district’s contract with a competitor.

“That’s how much we believe in our solutions,” he said.

According to the company, Transfinder typically does not enter into long-term contracts with clients, unless it is required in a request for proposal or is requested by a district in order to lock in a price.

“We have to prove ourselves every year to our clients,” Civitella said. “We cannot get complacent.”
