WARWICK, N.Y. — Trans Tech announced on Monday that it will unveil the newest edition to its Type A school bus lineup at the NAPT trade show.

The Trans Star, which will be available in 2017, is a 20-passenger, dual rear-wheel school bus that features Trans Tech’s signature aerodynamic design, according to the manufacturer.

“The entire company is extremely proud that we are able to unveil our highly anticipated Trans Star at NAPT," said John Phraner, president of Trans Tech. “We put our heart and soul into designing and engineering this school bus to exceed customer and market expectations.”

Trans Star is built on the Ford Transit chassis and includes safety features such as Trans Tech’s heavy-duty, pan-formed floors.

“We could not be more pleased with the launch of the Trans Star,” said Erickson Lopez, Trans Tech sales manager. “Customers all across the country have been excited about the launch of the Trans Star. We already have tremendous demand and orders for the 2017 Trans Star.”

“I think the industry will be quite impressed with the Trans Star,” Phraner added. “It is a bus driver’s bus that is easy to operate and extremely versatile. The Trans Star comes with our proprietary Versa-Track seating, [and] is engineered to be mechanic-friendly.”
