EXTON, Pa. — Kent Tyler has been appointed vice president of USSC Group, the company announced recently.

Tyler will initially focus his efforts on the company’s fire suppression group, Fogmaker North America. Fogmaker supplies water mist fire suppression systems for school buses and other vehicles.

In his new role, Tyler will lead sales and marketing, oversee business development, and direct the execution of the company's strategic growth plan for Fogmaker throughout North America. He will report directly to Joe Mirabile, president of USSC Group, and will serve on the company’s executive leadership team.

Mirabile said that Tyler “has a history of success building brands, increasing sales, and developing key relationships with distributors and end-users. Kent’s extensive experience running manufacturing and sales organizations will certainly benefit our dealers and customers.”

Tyler said that he has “always been impressed with USSC Group and am honored to be working with the team. As a leading fire suppression company, it's critical Fogmaker be synonymous with outstanding customer service and a comprehensive parts and distribution network throughout the industry.”

Tyler has more than 20 years of experience in the transportation industry, including executive leadership roles for specialty vehicle manufacturer REV Group (formerly Allied Specialty Vehicles and Collins Industries). His most recent position with REV was president of the bus and mobility group, which includes Type A school bus manufacturer Collins Bus Corp.
