TOWSON, Md. — A man who jumped onto the hood of a moving school bus in October was sentenced to probation on Tuesday, The Baltimore Sun reports.

As previously reported, on Oct. 5, Leverne Doran reportedly left his vehicle after a bottle was allegedly thrown out of a nearby bus toward his vehicle. He then tried to board the bus, and when the driver wouldn’t let him, he jumped onto the front of the bus as it moved, according to The Baltimore Sun. The driver tried to slowly drive to a nearby police precinct for help.

According to court records and his attorney, Doran received one day of unsupervised probation for obstructing a school bus driver, The Baltimore Sun reports. Charges against him of disorderly conduct, malicious destruction of property, and disturbing the peace, were dropped, according to the newspaper.

Doran had worked for 18 years as a teacher for Baltimore Public Schools and had no prior criminal record, according to The Baltimore Sun.
