New VP Named at SoundOff Commercial Vehicle Products

Bill Wakefield has joined the senior leadership team for lighting supplier SoundOff Commercial Vehicle Products.

Wakefield is the new vice president and general manager of the business, which supplies a variety of LED lights for school buses and is part of SoundOff Signal.

Wakefield’s previous experience includes roles as director of sales and marketing and director of strategy and product management for Meritor. Before that, he was general manager for Hilux, a SoundOff Signal company.

His background also includes leadership positions with Harrell-Wakefield, Racemark International, and Holland Neway International.

At SoundOff Commercial Vehicle Products, Wakefield replaces Steve Bayus, who retired after serving as vice president and general manager for eight years.

“We congratulate Steve on his retirement and thank him for his strong contributions and growth of the Commercial Vehicle Product group,” the company said in a press release. “We look forward to Bill building on Steve’s successes and forging a new path that will strategically grow the business.”
