OMAHA, Neb. — Student Transportation of America (STA) employees here recently collected items for those affected by the major flood disasters in the state.
Approximately 150 employees took part in a “Stuff-the-Bus” event, with STA’s three Omaha terminals and the Omaha Public Schools student transportation office serving as drop-off spots. Items were donated and collected from March 18 to 29 and then delivered.
The team’s Stuff-the-Bus event gathered items such as water, toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, and paper products. Their collection efforts concluded recently, and the bus full of donated items was delivered to the local Red Cross location.
“Although the majority of the local STA employees were not affected by the damage, they came together to donate their time and resources to help in their community,” said Doug Coupe, STA’s director of communications.
