Student Struck by Car at School Bus Stop

Henry Cruz-Orellana of North Carolina is standing at his bus stop when a vehicle driven by a 16-year-old tries to pass other cars, runs off the road, and hits him. He suffers non-life-threatening injuries.


School Bus Driver Leaves 2 Students at Bus Stop

A North Carolina bus driver waits five minutes for students to board and then resumes the route. The mother of one of the students is trying to press charges against the driver, but the district says the driver followed protocol.

Student honored for actions in school bus crash

A 14-year-old North Carolina student went to the bus driver’s seat and put on the brake after the bus was hit and the driver became unresponsive. Officials say that as a result of his actions, there were no injuries.
