The Autogas Evacuation Pump system is designed to remove propane from tanks when service or repairs are required. The system can evacuate a tank filled with 44 useable gallons in 1.5 hours, including zero vapor pressure, according to Alliance AutoGas. A fleet may transfer fuel from a vehicle’s fuel tank being serviced to another propane-powered vehicle, a refueling station, or a separate propane storage tank. The pump and process also allows the propane to be put back into the tank.
