In “School Bus Drivers: The 1st Line of Defense Against Child Sexual Predators,” Dr. Duane Dobbert explains different types of sexual disorders and how to identify people who are afflicted with them. The program, which Dobbert recently taught to a group in West Virginia, has been endorsed by the Department of Homeland Security.

District, communities respond to Missouri bus crash

Students will begin classes at St. James School District this Thursday, a week after a fatal accident involving two school buses. Counselors will be on hand and the district is also organizing a fundraiser dinner/silent auction to support those affected by the incident. A vigil and a service were held last Friday for the teens killed in the crash.

In an accident on a Missouri highway, a pickup truck slams into the back of a tractor trailer cab that had slowed for traffic. A school bus strikes the pickup from behind and is rear-ended by the other bus. A girl on one of the buses is fatally injured, as is the driver of the pickup.

Maine police are investigating the hit-and-run accident that occurred earlier this week. It was reported that the bus struck the rear end of a car, pushing it off the road, and then the driver continued on the highway.
