Bergstrom Inc. Unveils New Installation Centers for School Buses
The centers, located in Byron, Georgia, and Tulsa, Oklahoma, will handle the installation of HVAC systems in school buses.
Climate systems supplier Bergstrom Inc. has opened two new installation centers to expand the company’s services in the school bus industry.
The centers, located in Byron, Georgia, and Tulsa, Oklahoma, will handle the installation of HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems in school buses, according to a news release from the company.
"We’re thrilled to open these new installation facilities,” said Forrest Fields, director of bus air conditioning for Bergstrom Inc. "These centrally-located centers allow us to quickly serve our customers and meet demand efficiently and expertly.”
Both facilities are staffed with experienced air-conditioning technicians and will have systems engineering and application support available through Bergstrom’s corporate engineering team. The facilities will also be available to provide service and installation for other Bergstrom systems, such as battery electric HVAC (NITE systems) and Bergstrom’s full line of proprietary solar panel systems, according to the company.
As SBF previously reported, the company introduced its Cool Zone system, an air-conditioning system for school buses, in October 2016. The system is customizable and can consist of any combination of bus HVAC systems. Factors that determine the different types of packages include the size of the school bus, state regulations, and average weather temperatures in the region.
