MESA, Ariz. — American Traffic Solutions (ATS) is relaunching as Verra Mobility Corp., the company announced last month.

In the school bus industry, ATS is known for supplying stop-arm camera enforcement technology. Those existing programs will remain branded as ATS for now, a company spokesperson told SBF.

The corporate name change to Verra Mobility reflects the company’s broader portfolio after it acquired two other companies: New York-based Highway Toll Administration, a provider of electronic toll collection solutions, and Euro Parking Collection, which specializes in collecting unpaid traffic fees in Europe.

With those acquisitions, the newly branded Verra Mobility bills itself as “a global mobility company focused on delivering the future of safe and smart transportation across the United States and in 15 countries in Europe.”

The company said it will continue to provide red-light, speed, and school bus stop-arm camera enforcement solutions, while adding offerings such as toll, violation, and title and registration services for fleet and rental customers.

“Modes of transportation are increasingly connected, allowing everything from real-time, traffic-adjusted directions on our dashboards to vehicles that can wirelessly communicate with surrounding vehicles, infrastructure, and even pedestrians,” Verra Mobility CEO David Roberts said in a press release. “We’re helping to build a world that moves more easily and more safely, serving many different customers with solutions they need now and innovations they will demand in the future.”

The company, which remains based in Mesa, Arizona, now has nearly 700 employees doing business in 22 languages.

“Verra Mobility is a high-tech, high-passion company that is prepared to provide safe and smart mobility solutions across the globe,” Roberts added. “Our new brand name better represents who we are and our vision of where mobility is headed. We’re excited for this new chapter in our journey.”
