Ronna Weber to Depart NSTA
Weber’s executive director and regulatory relations duties will be transitioned to others, the school bus contractor association announces.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The National School Transportation Association (NSTA) will soon lose its executive director of the past five years, Ronna Weber, the association announced on Tuesday.
NSTA President Todd Monteferrario said that Weber will work with SEC Inc. and RC Kelly Law Associates “to transition her executive director and regulatory relations duties to others.”
Weber has served as NSTA’s executive director since June 2012. Prior to joining the school bus contractor association’s staff, she was the U.S. export control officer for Alstom Power Inc.
Weber also had previous experience working with NSTA for more than 12 years as a senior associate with Prime Policy Group, where she specialized in transportation policy.
In her role as NSTA’s executive director, Weber has been a regular contributor to School Bus Fleet in the NSTA Advocacy in Action column, where she has covered such topics as automated vehicles, VW settlement funds, and federal regulatory issues.
Before leaving NSTA at the end of July, Weber will attend the association’s annual meeting, which will be held July 15 to 19 in Indianapolis. Monteferrario said in an announcement that NSTA will give Weber “a warm farewell” at the meeting.
“Please join me in thanking Ronna for her years of dedicated service to the NSTA and in wishing her well in her next endeavors,” Monteferrario said.
Another NSTA staff member will be leaving the association soon. Alexandra Huss, communications and marketing coordinator, will serve her last day with NSTA on July 7.
