SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Independent School District (SAISD) has earned an honor for its training video for school bus passengers.

In the video, titled “SAISD School Bus Safety Expectations,” an animated version of a trainer teaches students the rules for safely riding the school bus.

The SAISD spot recently won a Telly Award, a program that recognizes creativity in TV and cable, digital and streaming, and non-broadcast productions. Judges rate entries on a 10-point scale. Entries that earn an average score of 7.0 to 8.9 are awarded a Bronze Telly for outstanding achievement, which is what SAISD received. For the 2017 Telly Awards program, there were more than 12,000 entries, and about 25% were selected for a Bronze Award.
