Two Colorado school districts have partnered with Enterprise Fleet Management to help save money and boost the quality and efficiency of their support vehicles.

Enterprise Fleet Management provides such services as fleet vehicle sales, financing, leasing, tracking, maintenance programs, and management system. The business is an affiliate of car rental company Enterprise Holdings.

In Colorado, Enterprise Fleet Management is working with Adams 12 Five Star Schools in Thornton and Boulder Valley School District in Boulder.

Adams 12's program with Enterprise focuses on the district's support fleet vehicles, which currently total 123. David Anderson, director of transportation and fleet for Adams 12, said that the partnership “has led to outstanding improvements in our fleet’s reliability, quality, and efficiency.”

Meanwhile, Boulder Valley School District is working to update and optimize its fleet vehicles.

“By leasing new, well-maintained vehicles from Enterprise Fleet Management, we are able to reduce fleet costs, significantly improve fuel efficiency, shrink our overall fleet size, and retire most of our backup vehicles,” said Bill Sutter, chief financial officer for Boulder Valley School District. “Labor utilization has been improved by allowing our mechanics to focus their valuable time on our heavy-duty vehicles and buses, while maintenance staff are not sidelined by breakdowns of older vehicles.”
