Steve McKinnon has joined the GO Riteway Transportation Group’s safety team as the new regional safety manager.

MILWAUKEE — GO Riteway Transportation Group has added Steve McKinnon to its safety team as the new regional safety manager.

GO Riteway, which operates out of 16 locations in Wisconsin, provides transportation services with a fleet that includes school buses, motorcoaches, shuttle coaches, limousines, and other vehicles.

In his new role, McKinnon’s areas of responsibility include supervision of the safety department staff, safety audits, regulation compliance, risk management, crash investigation and preventability determination, and the development and implementation of safety training programs.

“We’re pleased to welcome Steve, an important addition to our safety team, and we look forward to working with him,” said Ronald Bast, president of GO Riteway.

Earlier in his career, McKinnon worked as a distribution operations supervisor, district loss prevention investigator, and senior investigator in business intelligence and investigations. Most recently, he served as a law enforcement officer for 19 years and retired at the rank of sergeant with the Menomonee Falls (Wis.) Police Department.

McKinnon earned a bachelor’s degree in public administration from Upper Iowa University and a master’s degree in business administration/human resource management from Concordia University. He is also a graduate of the Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command and holds certified fraud examiner and certified forensic interviewer professional designations.
