BEAVERTON, Ore. — A school district here has made a bus tracking app available to parents.

The Beaverton School District's transportation department is now offering the My Stop bus tracking app from Versatrans. Available for both iOS and Android, My Stop gives parents the ability to know exactly where their child's bus is on its route.

Using the school district’s GPS system, the app pinpoints the bus' location on a map and provides the estimated time of arrival to a student's bus stop. The location is updated every five seconds, and the estimated time of arrival is recalculated for traffic delays.

At Beaverton School District, My Stop is available for free for parents, guardians, and students. User names are tied to specific students. To use the app, parents log in using the student's ID number as the user name and the student's birthdate as the password.
