ALBANY, N.Y. — The New York School Bus Contractors Association (NYSBCA) is preparing to hold its 62nd annual convention next month.

The 2016 NYSBCA convention is slated to take place Oct. 14 and 15 at the Albany Marriott. The event is open to members as well as non-members.

According to the NYSBCA, the convention will inform school bus contractors and their staffs about industry best practices. Sessions will cover such topics as school bus safety, counterterrorism initiatives in pupil transportation, and effective accident investigations.

Attendees will also hear about the most recent legislative and regulatory developments from Albany and Washington, D.C.

A discounted room rate is available for attendees who make reservations before Sept. 23.
