LYNNWOOD, Wash. — New kindergartners here will get a chance to experience a yellow bus before the school year starts.

The Edmonds School District will hold a school bus safety fair and ride-along on Aug. 2 and 3 for families with incoming kindergartners.

District drivers will share school bus safety procedures and give tours of the district’s new maintenance and transportation facility. Attendees can also take a 20-minute bus ride around the neighborhood.

The transportation team will hold three sessions on each of the two days, at 9:30, 10:30, and 11:30 a.m. For more information, go to the district’s website.

The first day of school for Edmonds School District is Sept. 7.
