Mobile Climate Control opens new manufacturing facility
The $3.5 million investment enables the bus HVAC supplier to manufacture its own micro-channel aluminum heat exchangers — a core component in its products.
MISSISSAUGA, Ontario — Mobile Climate Control (MCC) has opened a new facility here to design and manufacture its own micro-channel aluminum heat exchangers.
The aluminum coils are a core component for many of MCC’s products. The company supplies climate control systems for buses and other vehicles.
Company officials said that the investment of more than $3.5 million for the new facility creates manufacturing jobs in North America while increasing MCC’s competitiveness as a global HVAC provider for the commercial vehicle industry.
“This investment is a strategic move that strengthens our vertical integration to ensure MCC stays ahead of its competition for many years to come,” said Clas Gunneberg, CEO of MCC Group.
Eric Weiss, group vice president for product development, added that the ability to manufacture micro-channel aluminum heat exchangers in-house “will allow us to move the technology forward and maximize the performance in our products.”
