FRISCO, Texas — The American School Bus Council (ASBC) presented its School Bus Champion Award to pupil transportation legal expert Peggy Burns on Monday.
ASBC recognized Burns for her two decades of dedication to the school bus industry. The award was presented during the Transporting Students with Disabilities and Preschoolers conference in Frisco.
Burns, the owner of Education Compliance Group, has served as a key resource on legal issues for the pupil transportation community for 20 years. As previously reported, she will retire at the end of 2015.
In an article in the upcoming April/May issue of School Bus Fleet, Burns will reflect on the essential guidance she has given to pupil transporters during her career.
ASBC’s School Bus Champion Award recognizes exceptional support for and advancement of the school bus industry.
