CINCINNATI — Springfield (Mass.) Public Schools awarded First Student a new five-year contract for the 2014-15 school year and beyond.

The company has worked with the district for the past 15 years.

“We value our partnership with Springfield Public Schools,” said Ted Leclerc, First Student area general manager. “We thank the district for its continued trust in our services, and we look forward to being able to provide students with safe and reliable transportation for many years to come.”

The contract, which begins in July, includes the operation, maintenance and management of a fleet of nearly 250 vehicles.
