Two separate school bus crashes in southern Indiana on Friday were linked to ice and snow, according to Indiana State Police.

The first crash happened in Washington County at about 9:30 a.m. when a minivan hit a patch of ice and slid into a Salem Community Schools bus.

Police said that the three children on the bus were not injured. A passenger in the minivan complained of pain at the scene but was not transported by emergency services.

The second crash occurred at about 3:30 p.m. in Henryville. A West Clark Community Schools bus slid off a roadway and into a ditch.

Police said that there were 28 children on the bus, and none was injured. The children were transferred to another school bus and transported from the scene.
