DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Education has extended for three years its agreement with Emirates Transport for transportation of students of the ministry’s government schools.

The deal was signed by the Ministry’s Undersecretary Marwan Al Sawalih and Emirates Transport’s General Manager Mohammed Abdullah Al Jarman. It will provide 2,113 school buses and more than 2,000 drivers to government schools.

Emirates Transport currently transports more than 110,000 students to and from 420 of the ministry’s schools throughout the state.

Al Sawalih said the agreement, which can be renewed for another three years, is a natural extension of the long-standing and successful partnership between the ministry and Emirates Transport.

“We are committed to providing our students with the best possible services, and that’s why we are delighted to extend our strategic partnership with Emirates Transport,” Al Sawalih added.

Al Jarman said that Emirates Transport is committed to further developing its services to achieve the highest possible international standards.
