Dave Oberdorff has been promoted to the role of president and CEO of American Cooling Technology (ACT), company founders James Schreiber and J. R. Lucas announced.
ACT provides air-conditioning systems for school buses and other vehicles. Oberdorff has been the general manager since he joined the company in 2011.
“Dave has been instrumental since coming on board in helping ACT almost triple its revenues," Schreiber and Lucas said in a statement. "This change in Dave’s title simply reflects the way the organization is working on a day-to-day basis and allows us to all focus our talents on what we do best.”
Schreiber will continue to lead ACT's engineering and technical group as vice president, focusing on new product development as well as the ongoing engineering support of current products. Lucas, also with the title of vice president, will continue to head up ACT’s sales and marketing activities.
“Coming to ACT turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, and it has been exciting and a real pleasure working with the team here to help make ACT the premier bus air-conditioning supplier in the country,” Oberdorff said.
