ELKHART, Ind. — Electronics distributor MITO Corp. has renewed its contract with Blue Bird Corp. and will continue to supply the school bus manufacturer with its factory-installed radio system.

The contract extension is for three years. MITO has been supplying Blue Bird with a custom-spec'ed radio kit, complete with public address system, for more than 12 years.

According to MITO, the radio system it provides has become a staple product for nearly 85% of the school bus industry.

“MITO is able to provide specific options and technology that our customers require," said Trey Jenkins, vice president of purchasing at Blue Bird. "MITO provides us with products that embody quality, reliability and durability — all key elements which Blue Bird buses are known for.”

Dan Maloney, vice president of sales and marketing at MITO, said that the company is focused on delivering a low-maintenance system for Blue Bird.

"We want to deliver a quality product and pair that with quality support on our end," Maloney said. "We look forward to this ongoing relationship."
