A 16-year-old faces felony charges for allegedly attacking a school bus driver after he wrote down the teen’s license plate number following a bus-passing incident, the Orlando Sentinel reports.

Bus driver Alvin Lanning was picking up students on his way to a middle school and had activated the bus’ flashing red lights when a BMW passed the bus. Lanning later wrote down the vehicle’s license plate number to turn in the motorist for a traffic violation.

The teen driver saw this, and he confronted Lanning. According to the report Lanning gave Orange County sheriff’s deputies, the teen walked “aggressively” toward the bus and around to the driver’s sliding window. He then punched Lanning in the face and took his $800 glasses. Surveillance cameras on the bus captured the assault.
