A school bus driver from Virginia and a driver trainer from Missouri have become the latest to achieve the Special Needs Transportation Training Endorsement.

Dale Gorham, lead driver for Stafford County (Va.) Public Schools, and Regina Hancock, driver trainer for Lee’s Summit (Mo.) R-7 School District, completed the program, which is offered by the National Association for Pupil Transportation (NAPT).

The program has a core curriculum of six special-needs courses in a variety of settings. The core curriculum is supplemented by two courses of elective instruction from NAPT’s Professional Development Series.
