LOVELAND, Colo. — The Colorado State Pupil Transportation Association has named Terry Ruddick its Fleet Person of the Year.

Ruddick is fleet manager at Thompson School District in Loveland. He expressed his surprise at winning the honor and gave credit to his transportation colleagues at the district.

"I was completely shocked when I heard that I had won this award, and I'm very proud to have received it," he said. "I share this distinction with everyone here in the transportation department. If it wasn't for the people around me doing their jobs so well, then I couldn't do the job that I do. I work with a tremendous group of folks here at Thompson School District."

Ruddick will be honored at a June 12 luncheon during the Colorado Department of Education’s 36th Annual Transportation Summer Workshop in Pueblo.

Other Colorado State Pupil Transportation Association awards to be presented at the event include Operations Person of the Year, Driver of the Year and Lifetime Achievement. The association's executive board serves as the selection committee for the awards.
