NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Four students were arrested and charged last week after five school buses were vandalized, authorities said.
Nashville police reported that school security discovered the vandalism at an elementary school on the morning of April 1. One bus had a broken window, and fire extinguishers had been removed from four of the buses and discharged inside one of them.
School Resource Officer Steve Slater developed information that led to the arrest of three middle school students and one high school student. All four were charged in juvenile court with misdemeanor vandalism.
Police said the students told Slater that they had vandalized the buses during the previous week, which was spring break, but the youths reportedly said that they couldn’t remember which day.
