Book offers 'Best Practices in Student Transportation'

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — Transportation management solutions provider Transfinder has published a new book by industry veteran Dan Roberts titled "Best Practices in Student Transportation."

Company officials said that the book is designed primarily for district personnel who are responsible for student transportation but also is invaluable for district business managers and human resource directors responsible for budgets and personnel.

In her review of the book, Gwendolyn Santiago, executive director of the Texas Association of School Business Officials, said, "It is a must-read not only for chief finance officers, but also for chief operations officers and human resources directors. Dan was recognized as one of the best school transportation directors in the nation for a reason. He knows his stuff! The book is being used as the primary textbook for Transfinder's six-week online workforce development class on management logistics, currently being conducted in conjunction with Schenectady County Community College and taught by Roberts. It will also be distributed to all Transfinder clients who attend Roberts' full-day workshop on best practices at the company's Annual Client Conference, which will be held in Austin, Texas, May 6-8.
