ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Megan Benfatti has joined the National School Transportation Association (NSTA) as communications and marketing manager.

Benfatti will work in government relations on behalf of the school bus contractors group and will be responsible for all internal and external communications.

She started her career leading marketing campaigns and special events for a restaurant group in the New Orleans metropolitan area. She then moved to Virginia to found her own business.

After establishing her company, Benfatti moved to Washington, D.C., with the hospitality industry but decided to develop her marketing skills on a national level, NSTA reported in a recent newsletter.

NSTA has appointed several new staff members in recent months. In June, Ronna Weber joined the organization as executive director. Kate Gilbert came on board this fall as marketing and membership assistant.
