WARRENVILLE, Ill. — National Express Corp. (NEC) appointed Jim Cade its new vice president of field maintenance starting Aug. 13.

In his new role, Cade is responsible for providing vision and leadership for maintenance initiatives across the organization. He is tasked with ensuring the integrity, safety and reliability of the NEC fleet of more than 20,000 buses, and establishing the goals, policies and procedures for fleet operations.

“Jim’s experience in the field speaks volumes,” said Charlie Bruce, chief operating officer. “He knows what needs to be done, and goes out and does it. Our vehicles will continue to be highly maintained while operating as one of the safest fleets you’ll find anywhere. Our schoolchildren are in great hands.”

Cade comes to NEC with more than 35 years of experience in maintenance management, process improvement and project management. He most recently served as vice president of fleet operations at USA Dry Van Logistics in McAllen, Texas.
