CAMPBELLSPORT, Wis. — A teenager ran away from a shelter last week and then stole a bus from a local contractor's terminal, 620 WTMJ reports.

The 15-year-old boy broke into the company’s office, stole a set of keys and drove away in a bus, according to Johnson School Bus Service's general manager. He then traveled 30 miles to another Johnson bus terminal in West Bend, Wis.

Police found the boy still in the bus after a resident living near the terminal reported an alarm. The boy, who is reportedly mentally ill and has a fascination with school buses, told officers he was careful — even stopping at each railroad crossing along the way.
