Longtime SCHOOL BUS FLEET Publisher Frank Di Giacomo has been promoted to vice president, bus and rail.

Di Giacomo’s new title is part of the changes brought on with SBF parent Bobit Business Media’s recent acquisition of Newport Business Media.

As vice president, bus and rail, Di Giacomo will continue to lead SCHOOL BUS FLEET and sister publication Metro Magazine, which covers the transit, motorcoach and passenger rail industries.

He will continue to report to President and CEO Ty Bobit.

Di Giacomo has been involved with SBF since 1981, and he is an active member of various bus industry associations.

He has served on the Supplier Council of the National Association of State Directors of Pupil Transportation Services. In 2009, the National School Transportation Association presented Di Giacomo its Meritorious Service Award.
