David Farrar, CFM, has joined FirstGroup America as director of real estate.

CINCINNATI — FirstGroup America (FGA) has appointed David Farrar, CFM, as director of real estate.

In this role, Farrar supports FGA by handling routine property management responsibilities, such as sales and acquisitions of real estate within the First Student and First Transit divisions.

“I am pleased to join the company and look forward to the new and promising challenges ahead,” Farrar said. “I plan to utilize my knowledge and experience in the real estate department to effectively position the company and its First Student and First Transit divisions throughout the many markets within North America.”

Farrar joins FGA with more than 25 years of real estate and leadership experience. In 2006, he was the vice president of facilities and construction for Learning Care Group. Before joining FGA, Farrar served as director of real estate for the McGraw-Hill Companies Inc., West region.

Farrar is an active member of the Professional Retail Store Management Association and the International Facility Management Association.
