RIVERSIDE, Calif. — Fleet Financing Resources (FFR) has funded $875,000 for Atlantic Express of L.A. Inc. that will go toward five new school buses.

FFR is a boutique-style lender that services the commercial vehicle industry, and Atlantic Express of L.A. is a subsidiary of school bus contractor Atlantic Express Transportation Corp.

The financing from FFR was for five 2012 compressed natural gas-fueled Blue Bird A3RE school buses. The transaction was partially supported by a $225,000 clean transportation grant from Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee.

“Atlantic Express is dedicated to creating environmentally friendly transportation through alternative-fuel vehicles, and we are very satisfied with the financing provided to us by Fleet Financing Resources,” said Domenic F. Gatto, CEO and president of Atlantic Express.
