LANSING, Mich. — Two Elmwood Elementary School students were using an airsoft BB gun on a Waverly Community Schools' bus on Tuesday, and one of the students fired the BB gun at the bus driver.

The driver was not harmed in the incident, and neither were the students on the bus.

The Eaton County Sheriff's Department was notified, and officers spoke with the students involved and their parents at Elmwood Elementary School. Both students have been suspended pending further investigation of the incident.

The students involved will also receive both legal and school consequences, officials said.
