SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The California Department of Education's (DOE) Office of School Transportation is offering a two-day Transporting Children with Special Needs Conference at two locations this month.

The conference is in response to increasing requests for information and guidance regarding special-education transportation.

Officials said it will give attendees an opportunity to interact with fellow transportation industry professionals regarding policies and procedures around the state.

Course topics to be covered include pupil loading and unloading, accident investigation and documentation.

The conference will take place at the following locations:

June 22-23: California DOE's Office of School Transportation, 825 Riverside Parkway, Suite 110, West Sacramento, CA 95605.

June 28-29: Clovis Unified School District, 1680 David E. Cook Way, Clovis, CA 93611.
