WASHINGTON, D.C. — The American School Bus Council (ASBC) has appointed Clark Barrineau to the newly created coordinator position.

Barrineau joins the organization from Nesbitt Research, a campaign consulting firm, where he oversaw research and communications operations for a variety of advocacy campaigns. His past work experience also includes stints with the North Carolina Center for Public Policy Research and on Capitol Hill.

Barrineau holds a master’s degree in public administration with specialization in public policy from the University of Georgia and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington and Lee University.

“Clark brings with him a real ability to manage projects and people," said Bob Riley, an ASBC member and executive director of the National Association of State Directors of Pupil Transportation Services. "With his background, we will have the skill set in place to further our mission of increasing yellow school bus ridership across the United States. I look forward to working with Clark and increasing the impact of the ASBC and advocating for a quintessential American icon, the yellow school bus.”

For nearly five years, the ASBC has been educating parents, school officials and lawmakers about the essential role the yellow school bus plays in the safety, health, security and readiness of America’s schoolchildren.
