DELRAY BEACH, Fla. — An alligator that had been lurking near a school bus stop here was caught last week.

Parents and students who wait at that bus stop grew concerned after the 10-foot, 400-pound reptile was seen in a pond.

A boy told WPBF 25 News that the alligator was aggressive, and that he charged twice at a man who was fishing by the pond.

The boy's mother told the news source that with the alligator in the vicinity, she was afraid to let her children wait at the stop and walk home, so she drove them to school and picked them up.

The trapper took the alligator away last Thursday.
