MIRAMAR, Fla. — An eighth-grader from Glades Middle School was arrested on Tuesday after he told other students on a school bus that he was in possession of a bomb.

Firefighters and police evacuated students from the bus and brought trained dogs on board to sniff out explosives, The Miami Herald reports. It was quickly confirmed that the bomb threat was false.

Broward County Public Schools sent another bus to transport the students to school. The student who made the threat was taken into custody.
