DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga. — Seventeen-year-old Sanguain Watson is facing charges after being accused of attacking special-needs student Brandon Taylor on a school bus last month.

Brandon’s mother, Sherry Taylor, told myFoxAtlanta that her son is autistic, attends a special-needs school and rides the bus with students from a nearby Douglas County Schools high school.

Investigators said surveillance video taken from the bus showed Watson taking off his backpack and hitting Brandon Taylor three times. Watson was arrested.

A representative for Douglas County Schools confirmed that an incident took place and said that the students involved will be punished, according to myFoxAtlanta.

Sherry Taylor told the news source that she now takes her son to and from school.
