The early bird registration deadline for the Transporting Students with Disabilities & Preschoolers conference has been extended until Jan. 21. Registering before the deadline saves attendees $100.

The 19th National Conference and Exhibition, scheduled for March 5-10 in Orlando, Fla., includes sessions on cutting costs and preserving services while transporting students in a safe, legally compliant manner.

In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in the four-hour Basics of Special Needs Transportation program, sensitivity training, and a session on coping skills for managers in a down economy. Just added to the conference is a session describing how one school district trimmed $1.5 million from its transportation budget while continuing to improve and sustain special-education busing.

General sessions will feature Edupro's tenured faculty discussing special- needs transportation in a sour economy and budget adjustments.
