WARRENVILLE, Ill. — Technicians can now register for the fall session of IC Bus University training, to be held at the company’s Tulsa, Okla., bus plant Oct. 12-16.

The class, which is limited to 60 technicians, will have the following schedule:

Monday: Attendees will visit the Tulsa plant to observe bus construction and the placement of key components.

Tuesday through Thursday: Attendees will cycle through three eight-hour classes on bus electronics, engines and maintenance.

Friday: Attendees will go through a four-hour class on Allison transmissions.

In addition, there will be one-hour lunch presentations by various IC Bus vendors Tuesday through Thursday, as well as evening presentations Monday through Thursday at the host hotel.

Attendees will be credited for 43 hours of training through IC parent company Navistar International Corp. if they attend all of the day and evening sessions.

Cost for the class is $300 per person, and attendees must obtain a voucher number from their IC Bus dealer. Technicians should also contact their IC dealer for registration information.

All books and materials for the class will be provided. Daily transportation to and from the hotel to the bus plant will also be provided.
