CINCINNATI — First Student Inc. has been awarded three new contracts with school districts in Connecticut, Rhode Island and Pennsylvania.

The first two contracts — with Trumbull (Conn.) Public Schools and South Kingstown (R.I.) School Department — are three-year, full-service agreements with additional two-year options.

The Trumbull district has 72 bus routes and a fleet of 83 vehicles, while the South Kingstown school system has a fleet of 50 vehicles. First Student’s services to the two districts will include transporting students to and from school and extracurricular activities.

First Student’s third contract is a five-year, full-service agreement with William Penn School District in Lansdowne, Pa., which serves 5,500 students from 11 schools southwest of Philadelphia. First Student will operate the district’s 78 bus routes and, as with the other contracts, provide transportation for extracurricular events.
