A school bus driver for Wichita (Kan.) Public Schools was killed Wednesday, April 5, when her bus rammed the back of a plumbing truck. An aluminum pipe crashed through the bus’ windshield and struck her in the head. According to the Associated Press, nine children were aboard the bus, and four of them suffered minor injuries. They were en route to an elementary school. The driver’s name was not immediately released. The plumbing truck was stopped on an interstate highway when it was struck by the bus. Two other vehicles were involved in the chain-reaction accident.
