Police say that no children were injured in the separate incidents, which both happened on Friday in southern Indiana. In one crash, a minivan hit a patch of ice and slid into a school bus. In the other, a bus slid off a roadway and into a ditch.

Public School District, experienced complications from surgery to remove the tumor and was on medical leave for several months, during which time a tornado greatly impacted his operation. Several children were on the bus, but none was harmed. The strike was close enough for students to report having seen “reddish-purple lights” and having heard an explosion.
IC Bus aids Moore tornado recovery

The manufacturer donates a school bus filled with supplies and makes a $10,000 contribution to Moore (Okla.) Public Schools to assist in the district’s recovery efforts. The city was struck by a massive tornado on May 20.
